Ravens vs. Browns 2015 odds: Ravens betting underdogs at Browns Monday night

The Cleveland Browns will try to snap a five-game losing streak this Monday night as favorites at home against the Baltimore Ravens.

Scott R. Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are 13-2 straight up and 9-6 against the spread in their last 15 games against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens will try to avoid a second loss to the Browns this season on Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Baltimore is a 4-point road underdog in Cleveland according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Browns had been the betting underdog in each of their last seven games, last going off as a favorite against the Oakland Raiders back in Week 3 when they lost 27-20.

Getting the ball back with a sack fumble and kicking a game-winning field goal in the closing moments of last Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, the Baltimore Ravens earned their second win in their last three games.

The win brought Baltimore’s season record to 3-7 SU and 1-7-2 ATS, but also came with bad news; Joe Flacco had torn his ACL and would be out for the remainder of the season. Flacco joins Justin Forsett, Terrell Suggs, and Steve Smith on Baltimore’s growing long-term injury list.

The visiting team is 10-2 ATS in the last 12 games between the Ravens and the Browns per the OddsShark NFL Database.

Since beating Baltimore 33-30 back on October 11 not much has gone right for the Browns. The Browns are 0-5 SU and 0-4-1 ATS over their last five games, losing each of their last four games by at least 10 points each averaging only 11.3 points per game over that stretch.

With yet another off the field incident over the bye week, quarterback Johnny Manziel has been benched in favor of Josh McCown. Cleveland is 4-7 SU and 2-8-1 ATS in its last 11 games as the betting favorite.

Monday night’s total is set at 41.5 points. The OVER is 7-3 in Cleveland’s last 10 games overall.

There isn’t a clearly favorable choice between these two struggling teams. At home, with McCown back under center, the Browns should be able to scratch out a win and cover against the injury-laden Ravens; but they’ll need a much better performance than the ones they’ve been having over the last month of play.
