Steelers vs. Bengals 2015 odds: Pittsburgh small betting underdog at rival Cincinnati

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals will clash in an important AFC North rivalry matchup this Sunday in Cincinnati.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 13-5 straight up and against the spread in their last 18 games against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers will look to continue their dominance over the Bengals this Sunday afternoon at Paul Brown Stadium.

Pittsburgh is a 3-point betting underdog for Sunday according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last 14 road games against the Bengals, the Steelers are 12-2 SU and 11-2-1 ATS including a 3-1 SU and ATS record as a road underdog.

Even without Le’Veon Bell in the backfield, the Pittsburgh Steelers are clicking on offense with Ben Roethlisberger back under center. The Steelers have averaged 35.8 points per game over their last four games, going 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS over that stretch.

Fighting for a playoff spot in the wide-open AFC Wild Card race, the Steelers picked up a key win last week in a 45-10 blowout over the Indianapolis Colts.

Both of these teams have played well in the month of December in recent years. Pittsburgh is 8-0 SU and ATS in its last eight December games and Cincinnati is 10-3 SU and ATS in its last 13 December games per the OddsShark NFL Database.

After opening their season on an 8-0 SU and 7-0-1 ATS run, the Bengals saw that stretch come to a shocking end in a 10-6 home loss to the Houston Texans as a 10-point favorite. But the Bengals have bounced back nicely from that off-game, covering the spread in a 34-31 road loss against Arizona and winning their last two games by blowouts in a 31-7 win over St. Louis and a 37-3 win over Cleveland. Cincinnati is 10-2 SU and 10-1-1 ATS in 2015.

Sunday’s total is set at 50 points. The total has gone UNDER in six of the last eight games between the Steelers and the Bengals.

With Cincinnati battling for the top seed in the AFC and Pittsburgh fighting for a playoff spot, plenty is on the line for both teams in this Sunday’s rivalry game. It could go either way, but the Bengals get the nod as a 3-point favorite with home field advantage and the edge on defense over the Steelers.
