Giants vs. Dolphins 2015 odds: New York betting favorite at Miami on Monday night

The New York Giants look to stay in the hunt for the NFC East title with a road win on Monday as betting favorites against the Miami Dolphins.

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants are 5-1 straight up in their last six games against the Miami Dolphins, but have failed to cover the spread in each of the last three games in this series. The Giants are facing the Miami Dolphins on the road this Monday night at Sun Life Stadium.

New York is a 2.5-point road favorite against the Dolphins according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last five games as the betting favorite, the Giants are 4-1 SU.

Leading the New York Jets 20-13 late in the fourth quarter last week, the Giants appeared to be on their way to a win and cover as a 2.5-point underdog. Instead, the Jets went on to tie the game and win it 23-20 in overtime, handing the Giants their third straight loss and dropping their season record to 5-7 SU and 6-5-1 ATS.

With Philadelphia and Washington both picking up wins on Sunday, New York will need a win on Monday night to keep pace in the NFC East race.

Last week’s loss was a rare slip up in the month of December for the Giants. New York is 5-2 SU and ATS in its last seven December games per the OddsShark NFL Database.

With the exception of a pair of blowout wins over Tennessee and Houston back in October, it has been a largely underwhelming season for the Miami Dolphins. Miami started its season in a 1-3 SU and ATS slump, and is currently in the midst of a 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS skid.

The Dolphins did get a 15-13 win last week against the Baltimore Ravens, and upcoming games against the struggling Giants, San Diego and Indianapolis may give the team a chance to end its season on a high note. Miami is 1-5 SU and 0-6 ATS in its last six Monday Night Football appearances.

Monday night’s total is set at 47 points. The UNDER is 6-0 in each of the last six games between the Dolphins and the Giants.

Neither of these teams are playing well, but the Giants have shown more signs of life this season and have more to play for with a division title still in reach. Take New York as a small road favorite on Monday night.
