NFL odds 2015, Week 16: Eagles, Washington, Jets play in key betting matchups

Philadelphia, Washington and the New York Jets play key games in their quests for playoff spots in Week 16 NFL betting action.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles are 1-3 straight up and against the spread in their last four games at home. To keep their playoff chances alive, they'll need a win this Saturday night at home against Washington.

Philadelphia is a three-point home betting favorite on Saturday, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Washington has played well of late with two straight wins and a 3-1 SU and ATS record in its last four games. With a win on Saturday, the team would lock up the NFC East, but a loss would leave the Eagles controlling their own destiny heading into Week 17.

The New York Jets will be fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive on Sunday as a 3-point home underdog against the New England Patriots. New York is 4-0-1 ATS in its last five games against the Patriots, according to the OddsShark NFL Database, and will be looking for a fifth straight win overall in Sunday's game.

New England is 8-1 SU in its last nine games on the road.

Two of the top teams in the NFC clash on Sunday when the Arizona Cardinals host the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is going off as a 4.5-point underdog in Sunday's matchup as the Cardinals have won eight straight games.

The Packers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog in the month of December and 4-0 ATS in their last four games against NFC West opponents. Arizona will try to buck those trends with a ninth straight win on Sunday.

The Carolina Panthers continue their push towards perfection as a 7-point road favorite on Sunday visiting the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are 2-7 SU and 1-8 ATS over their last nine games while the Panthers are 14-0 SU and 10-4 ATS so far on the season. Atlanta is 0-5 SU and ATS in its last five games against NFC South opponents.

On Monday night, the Cincinnati Bengals are a 3.5-point underdog visiting the Denver Broncos. Cincinnati has lost each of its last eight games on the road against the Broncos.
