NCAA Tournament odds: Kentucky is atop March Madness futures wagers

With the regular season officially in the books college basketball bettors turn their attention to the postseason.

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats finished the regular season with a perfect 31-0 straight up record and went 6-1 against the spread down the stretch as well. The unanimous No. 1 team in the country is also the odds-on favorite to win the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Kentucky is going off at 11/10 odds to win the NCAA Tournament, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Wildcats seemed to get better as the season went on and finished with the third-best defense in the country, allowing only 53.4 points per game. Kentucky figures to breeze through the SEC Tournament to the top one-seed and will be tough to knock off.

Wisconsin’s odds to win the title have climbed all the way up to 13/2. The team finished the regular season on a 13-1 SU run that included a pair of impressive back-to-back double-digit road wins at Minnesota and Ohio State. The Badgers finished the season with a 28-3 SU record and are a 10/11 favorite on the odds to win the Big Ten Tournament.

Right behind Wisconsin on the March Madness betting board are Duke (10/1), Virginia (10/1) and Arizona (11/1). Duke finished its regular season on an 11-0 SU and 7-4 ATS run, including an 84-77 win on the road against North Carolina in the final game of the regular season. Virginia lost its final game of the season but still ended up with a 28-2 SU record on the year. The ACC Tournament will be interesting as these teams battle for the conference’s top spot.

Gonzaga's stock took a hit when the team lost to BYU at home as a 13.5-point favorite. Still, the Bulldogs finished the year with a 30-2 SU record and have the talent to make a deep run going off at 16/1 to win the NCAA Tournament. Villanova is also going off at 16/1 on those college basketball betting lines after finishing the regular season as the best team in the Big East by a wide margin at 29-2 SU.

Other potential contenders to win the NCAA Tournament include Kansas (22/1), Utah (33/1), North Carolina (33/1), Iowa State (40/1), Louisville (40/1), and Notre Dame (40/1).
