NBA Betting: San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Clippers odds, matchup stats

The San Antonio Spurs return to Los Angeles to face the Clippers with a 4-1 SU and ATS record in their last five playoff road games.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers are just 1-5 ATS and 3-3 SU over their last six playoff games at home. The Clippers will be looking for a big win in Game 5 this Tuesday night at home at the Staples Center against the San Antonio Spurs.

Los Angeles is a 2-point home favorite over San Antonio according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Clippers were favored by 4.5 points in Game 2 when they fell outright in a 111-107 loss to the Spurs.

San Antonio took over home-court advantage in the series with its road win in Game 2 and appeared to have the Clippers reeling after a 100-73 win in Game 3. However, just one game after being stymied on offense Los Angeles responded with a huge performance in Game 4 to pull off a 114-105 upset as a 6-point road underdog.

With the series now tied 2-2, the Clippers will look to get the job done at home, where they are 7-2 SU but 2-7 ATS over their last nine games according to the OddsShark NBA Database.

After stealing Game 2 in overtime from the Clippers, San Antonio was three home wins away from another playoff series win. But after falling in Game 4, the Spurs will need at least one more road win in this series.

One of the keys to this series for San Antonio seems to be the containment of Chris Paul. The Spurs held the star point guard to 21 points in Game 2 and seven points in Game 3, but allowed him 32 points in Game 1 and 34 points in Game 4.

The UNDER is 10-3 in Los Angeles’ last 13 road games. Tuesday’s total is set at 205 points for the Spurs vs. Clippers betting matchup at the sportsbooks.

It doesn’t get much bigger than Game 5 in a series that is split 2-2. The winner of Tuesday night’s game will have two chances to close out the series while the loser will face elimination in Game 6.

As the spread and the first four games have indicated, this one could go either way.
