In what was supposed to be a thrilling offensive showdown against one of the best offensive teams in the country, No. 1 Duke completely shut No. 2 Gonzaga down to run away with a 66-52 win. The play of Duke’s defense has been outstanding all tournament long, allowing only 53.5 points per game en-route to winning three of the team’s four games by double digits.
With the win, Duke improved to 8-1 SU and ATS over its last nine games. The Blue Devils are 3-1 SU and ATS in four March Madness trips to the Final Four since 1999.
The game between Duke and Gonzaga may not have lived up to the hype on Sunday but No. 4 Louisville vs. No. 7 Michigan State certainly did. The two teams battled their way into overtime before the Spartans eventually pulled away with a 76-70 win and cover.
Michigan State is 12-3 SU and 11-4 ATS over its last 15 games. The Spartans are 1-3 SU and ATS in four Final Four appearances since winning the NCAA championship back in 2000.
