NBA Betting: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls odds, matchup stats

The Chicago Bulls will try to regain momentum at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS record in their last 10 home games.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls are just 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five postseason games. The Bulls will try to take advantage of their home court to take control of their second-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night.

Chicago is a 2-point favorite in Game 3, according to sports books monitored by OddsShark.com. This will be the first time in Chicago's last nine games it will be favored by less than 5 points at home.

The series against Cleveland couldn't have started off much better for Chicago. Coming in hot off their 120-66 blowout win over the Bucks, the Bulls took advantage of Cleveland's slow start to pull away with a 99-92 victory as a 4.5-point road underdog. Derrick Rose looked like his old, healthy self with 25 points and five assists.

The opposite was true in Game 2 as the Bulls came out sluggish in a 106-91 loss with Rose scoring only 14 points. The Bulls are 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games at home according to the OddsShark NBA Database, and will try to swing momentum back in their favor in Chicago.

While Chicago's defense deserves some credit, LeBron James had an off night in Game 1. Scoring just 19 points and going 9 for 22 from the floor, James turned the ball over six times and was unable to draw fouls when attacking the rim.

As many expected he would, James turned things around in Game 2 with a 33-point performance to help lead the Cavs to a win and cover as a 5.5-point home favorite. The offense will receive a boost in Game 3 with J.R. Smith set to return. Cleveland is 7-1 SU and 5-3 ATS over its last eight games.

Friday night's total for the Cavaliers vs. Bulls betting matchup is set at 196 points at the sports books. The UNDER is 4-1 in both Chicago's and Cleveland's last five playoff games.

Quick starts have played a big role in this series so far. Chicago led, 27-15, at the end of the first quarter in Game 1, and Cleveland took a 38-18 lead into the second quarter In Game 2.
