Patriots vs. Bills 2015 odds: Buffalo, New England tight on betting lines

Buffalo’s stout defense faces one of the best offenses in the league when it hosts the New England Patriots in a game with a tight betting line.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are 21-2 SU and 14-8-1 ATS in their last 23 games against the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots get another crack at their AFC East rival this Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

New England and Buffalo are going off as a pick'em according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In New England's last 11 trips to Buffalo the Patriots had been a road favorite of 3.5 or more points 10 times.

Due to allowing a touchdown with two seconds left on the clock last Thursday night, the New England Patriots did not get a cover in their 28-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a strong performance overall however, and Tom Brady showed absolutely no signs of fatigue from his offseason appeal process with 288 passing yards and four passing touchdowns.

Rob Gronkowski was on the receiving end of three of those touchdown throws and also had 94 yards receiving.

The Patriots now take their elite passing attack on the road to face one of the toughest passing defenses in the NFL. New England is 10-1 SU and 8-2-1 ATS in its last 10 road games against the Bills per the OddsShark NFL Database.

Buffalo was a popular upset pick at home against the Colts last week due to its tough pass defense, and the Bills didn't disappoint their backers. Holding Andrew Luck to just 243 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, Buffalo came away with a 27-14 win.

Rookie Tyrod Taylor managed the game well, completing 14 of his 19 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Buffalo improved to 6-1 ATS over its last seven games with the cover.

The total for Sunday's game is set at 45 points. The UNDER is 3-0 in New England's last three road games and 4-0 in Buffalo's last four games in September.

The Buffalo defense is strong, and a win this week would solidify the Bills as a legitimate contender for a playoff spot early in the year. But given New England's history against both the Bills and Rex Ryan, the Patriots with Tom Brady at the helm are too tough to pass up on as a pick'em to win the game.
