Cowboys vs. Eagles 2015 odds and lines: Dallas betting underdog in Philly in Week 2

The two favorites to win the NFC East clash this Sunday when the underdog Dallas Cowboys visit the favored Philadelphia Eagles.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys are 8-1 straight up and 7-2 against the spread over their last nine road games including a perfect 8-0 SU record on the road during the regular season last year. The Cowboys will take on a tough home team this Sunday when they visit the Philadelphia Eagles.

Dallas is a 5-point road underdog according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Cowboys are 4-0 ATS in their last four games as an underdog of +3.5 or higher with three outright upsets in that span.

Taking advantage of a mismanaged drive by the New York Giants near the end of the fourth quarter, Tony Romo led the Dallas Cowboys on a game-winning drive last Sunday to edge out the Giants 27-26.

While Dallas was happy to get the win, the game did reveal some negatives as well. The rushing game was ineffective with only 80 yards on the ground, and superstar wide receiver Dez Bryant was knocked out of the game with a foot injury.

Bryant is expected to be out for 2-3 months following a successful surgery on his foot earlier this week. Dallas is 6-1 SU over its last seven games.

The Philadelphia Eagles couldn’t shake off an ugly first half in Atlanta on Monday night, eventually falling to the Falcons 26-24. Philadelphia trailed 20-3 at halftime, but surged back to take a 24-23 lead in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Falcons took the lead back on the ensuing drive, though, and held on for the win.

The Eagles now return home where they are 10-3 SU and 8-4-1 ATS over their last 13 games per the OddsShark NFL Database.

The UNDER is 6-3 in the last nine games between Dallas and Philadelphia and 3-1 in the last four games. Sunday’s total is set at 55 points.

Philadelphia and Dallas have been very evenly matched in recent years with a 5-5 SU and ATS record against one another over the last 10 meetings between them.

After losing Dez Bryant in the passing game and struggling in the run game offensively, Dallas may have trouble keeping up with the Eagles offense in this one. Look for Philadelphia to win and cover.
