NFL odds 2015, Week 3: Falcons, Broncos, Packers are early favorites in Vegas

The Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos are among the 2-0 teams in the NFL looking to improve to 3-0 on the road this Sunday.

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons are 1-5 straight up in their last six games against the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas. The Falcons will try to earn a rare road win over the Cowboys this Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

Atlanta is a 1-point road favorite according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Cowboys are 7-1 SU over their last eight games, but the injuries have been piling up this season. After losing Dez Bryant to a foot injury in its first game, Dallas lost Tony Romo with a collarbone injury on Sunday. The Cowboys will start Brandon Weeden at quarterback against Atlanta.

The Philadelphia Eagles are just 1-5 straight up and against the spread over their last six games and are coming off an extremely disappointing offensive performance in their 20-10 loss to Dallas last week. The Eagles hope to turn things around on the road against the New York Jets this week, a team that the Eagles have enjoyed success against with a 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS record in their last six meetings. Philadelphia opens as a 2.5-point road favorite.

The New England Patriots are still the team to beat in the AFC East, but this Sunday’s game between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins in Miami will help sort out the pecking order in the division.

Buffalo’s defense had no answer for Tom Brady in a 40-32 loss to the Patriots on Sunday, and the Dolphins suffered a disappointing road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bills are just 2-10 SU in their last 12 divisional road games and enter this game as a 2.5-point underdog.

On Sunday Night Football, the Denver Broncos open as a 2.5-point road favorite visiting the Detroit Lions. Denver has been on the right side of a pair of close games this season and is 2-0 SU and ATS while Detroit has been on the wrong side of two close games to fall to 0-2 SU and ATS. The Broncos are just 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games against NFC North teams.

Fresh off of a 27-17 win over Seattle on Sunday night, the Green Bay Packers are at home for Monday Night Football hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. Green Bay is a 7-point favorite.
