NFL odds 2015, Week 4: Ravens, Eagles, Raiders among early favorites

Interesting division rivalry games including Baltimore at Pittsburgh and Philadelphia at Washington highlight the Week 4 NFL betting card.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are 6-3 straight up in their last nine games against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens will try to get their season back on track this Thursday night against the Steelers.

After opening as a 2-point favorite, the Baltimore Ravens are now a 2.5-point road favorite against the Steelers according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Baltimore has started the season off 0-3 SU and ATS, but bettors seem to anticipate that the Ravens could get their first win this week with Ben Roethlisberger out for the Steelers with an MCL injury.

Pittsburgh will go with backup quarterback Michael Vick in Thursday night’s game.

The Washington football team and the Philadelphia Eagles are both off to 1-2 SU and ATS starts to the season, but the NFC East is still wide open and the winner of this game will be right in the thick of the division race.

Washington hosts Philadelphia as a 3-point underdog at home. Washington is 2-6 ATS over its last eight games overall and 2-7 ATS over its last nine games at home per the OddsShark NFL Database.

For the first time since 2012, the Oakland Raiders have won back-to-back games, beating the Baltimore Ravens at home in Week 2 and the Cleveland Browns on the road last week. Sunday’s game marks another first since 2012 for the Oakland Raiders: opening the game as a road favorite, going off at -2.5 visiting the Chicago Bears. Oakland is just 2-19 SU in its last 21 games on the road.

Peyton Manning proved that he can still take over a game in Denver’s 24-12 road win over Detroit last week as the veteran quarterback passed for 324 yards and two touchdowns in the win. The Broncos are 3-0 SU and ATS this season and host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday as a 6.5-point betting favorite. Minnesota is 7-2 ATS over its last nine games.

The Indianapolis Colts improved to 14-0 SU in their last 14 divisional games last Sunday when they defeated the Tennessee Titans. The Colts are an 8.5-point favorite this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, looking to make it 15 straight divisional wins.
