The Georgia Bulldogs are 8-1 straight up and 6-3 against the spread in their last nine games overall. Georgia could solidify itself as a serious playoff contender with a win at home on Saturday afternoon against the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama vs. Georgia 2015 odds: Crimson Tide rare betting underdog
The Georgia Bulldogs face what could be their toughest test of the 2015 season on Saturday as favorites hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Georgia is a 2.5-point favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Alabama is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four games as a betting underdog, with the most recent instance coming all the way back in 2009 as a 5-point underdog against the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game.
It’s been smooth sailing for the Bulldogs so far this season with a 4-0 SU record and all four of the team’s wins coming by at least 17 points. Nick Chubb has lived up to his hype as a Heisman hopeful so far, rushing for 149.8 yards per game and six touchdowns and averaging 8.4 yards per carry.
Chubb hasn’t needed to carry the ball more than 21 times in a game yet this season, but that could change on Saturday.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Georgia Bulldogs
When: 3:30 p.m. ET
Where: Sanford Stadium, Athens, Ga.
Betting Line / Total: Georgia -2.5 / 55 Points
The Bulldogs have won five straight games overall and are 11-1 SU in their last 12 games at home. Georgia is also 4-1 ATS in its last five games against Alabama per the OddsShark College Football Database.
Alabama rarely finds itself in a must-win situation this early in the season, but it could be just that against Georgia this week. A second straight conference loss would be devastating for the Crimson Tide’s playoff chances, while a win would put Alabama right back on track with home dates in three of the team’s next four games.
The Crimson Tide are 0-3 ATS over their last three games overall and 0-5-1 ATS in their last six road games against SEC opponents.
The OVER is 5-0 in the last five games between Alabama and Georgia. Saturday’s total is currently set at 55 points.
This game features two of the nation’s best running backs in Derrick Henry and Chubb, and those two should lead their respective offenses to plenty of points. Georgia could be the real deal this season, but Alabama is too big of a powerhouse to pass up on at +2.5 in the rare instance that this team is an underdog.
