Super Bowl 50 odds: Cardinals, Patriots Super Bowl 50 betting favorites

The Arizona Cardinals and the New England Patriots head into the divisional round of the playoffs as betting favorites to win Super Bowl 50.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots are 17-3 straight up and 11-8-1 against the spread in their last 20 postseason home games. The Patriots will try to continue that success at home this Saturday when they kick off the divisional round against the Kansas City Chiefs.

New England is currently going off at +450 on the odds to win Super Bowl 50 according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The only team higher than the Patriots on the betting board to win the Super Bowl is the Arizona Cardinals at +425.

Despite being the second seeds in their respective conferences, the Patriots and the Cardinals are currently the favorites to meet in Super Bowl 50. New England’s postseason success speaks for itself, and a bye week to get healthy should benefit the Patriots in Saturday’s game against the Chiefs.

Arizona hosts Green Bay on Saturday night just weeks after beating the Packers by 30 at home last month. The Packers are a +1200 longshot to win the Super Bowl heading into this tough road matchup.

The Carolina Panthers (+500 to win the Super Bowl) host the Seattle Seahawks (+550) on Sunday, and the winner of that game will emerge as a major Super Bowl contender. Carolina would have home field in the NFC Championship Game and was 8-0 SU and 6-2 ATS at home this season.

Seattle is 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS over its last eight games and has won six of its last seven postseason games.

As the top seed in the AFC, the Denver Broncos would have home field advantage in the AFC Championship Game. This could make a big difference if the Broncos ended up facing the Patriots as Denver is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six home games against New England compared to an 0-5 SU and ATS record in its last five road games against the Patriots.

The Broncos are going off at +550 on the Super Bowl betting lines.

Rounding out the Super Bowl odds board are the Kansas City Chiefs are +900 and the Pittsburgh Steelers are +1200. With 11 straight wins and a 5-0 SU and ATS record in its last five road games, Kansas City could be one of the best value plays available.
