NFL odds 2016, Week 5: Broncos, Patriots are among favorites on the betting lines for the week

The Broncos are home favorites against the Falcons in Week 5, while the Patriots are road favorites against the Browns in Tom Brady’s return.

The Denver Broncos are 7-2 straight up and 5-4 against the spread in their last nine games against the Atlanta Falcons. The Broncos will try to pick up another win over the Falcons and remain undefeated on the season this Sunday in Denver.

Denver is a 6-point home favorite on Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Sunday’s matchup will pit one of the NFL’s best defenses in the Broncos against the league’s top offense in Atlanta.

The Falcons have averaged a staggering 478.8 yards and 38 points per game en route to a 3-1 SU and ATS start, while the Broncos have allowed only 16 points per game and are off to a 4-0 SU and ATS start to the 2016 season.

The Oakland Raiders are just 2-13 SU and 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games coming off an upset win. The Raiders won as a 3.5-point underdog at Baltimore last week, and can improve to 4-1 SU and ATS on the season with a win at home over the San Diego Chargers this Sunday.

Dating back to 2002, the Chargers are 10-4 SU and ATS in 14 road games against the Raiders. The Chargers are a 4-point underdog in this Sunday’s game.

New England (-10.5) at Cleveland

NY Giants at Green Bay (-7)

Atlanta at Denver (-6)

San Diego at Oakland (-4)

Tampa Bay at Carolina (OFF)

The New England Patriots are the biggest favorite on the board this Sunday going off at -10.5 on the road against the Cleveland Browns.

Tom Brady returns to action for the Patriots, who went 3-1 SU and ATS in his absence with wins over Arizona, Miami, and Houston. The Browns are 0-9 SU in their last nine games against teams with winning records per the OddsShark NFL Database.

And in the final two games of the week, the New York Giants visit the Green Bay Packers (-7) on Sunday night and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Panthers in Carolina on Monday night.

New York is 15-5 ATS in its last 20 games as an underdog of a touchdown or more. There is currently no spread for the Monday Night Football game as bookmakers await an update on Cam Newton, who left last Sunday’s game against Atlanta with concussion-like symptoms.
