With 44 wins, the Capitals have accumulated more points through 58 games than any team in NHL history. One of the most impressive factors in Washington’s dominance is the team’s consistency regardless of where it plays, compiling a 23-6 record at home and a 21-8 record on the road. Both of those records are best in the league.
Stock is rising fast on the Anaheim Ducks, who have played their way up to +900 to win the Stanley Cup on the betting board. After losing nine of their first 10 games and going 12-15-6 through 33 games, Anaheim looked to be stuck in a rut of a season.
But the offense has picked up averaging 4.1 goals per game over the team’s last 14 games. The Ducks are 12-1-1 over that stretch per the OddsShark NHL Database.

The Rangers are 6-2-1 in their last nine games, and were the team to knock off the Washington Capitals in the playoffs last season.
Other potential Stanley Cup contenders include the St. Louis Blues (+1400), Pittsburgh Penguins (+2000), and the Detroit Red Wings (+2200).
