The Spartans’ 64-61 win over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday marked the first time that the team had failed to win by double digits in its last eight games. Over the course of Michigan State’s current 12-1 SU and ATS run, the Spartans have averaged 82.7 points per game while allowing only 63.8 points per game, winning games by an average margin of nearly 20 points per game.

Michigan State could earn its third Big Ten Tournament title in the last five years with a win on Sunday. Purdue knows it can beat the Spartans after doing so the last time these two met, but without home court advantage, another win over Michigan State is going to be tough to pull off.
