Fresh off blowout wins in the Sweet 16, the Oregon Ducks and Oklahoma Sooners meet Saturday in a pick’em betting matchup in the Elite Eight.

Oregon and Oklahoma are going off as a pick’em in their Elite Eight matchup according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Sooners entered the Sweet 16 as the betting favorite to win the West Region, but now both teams are virtually even.
A shaky performance against Saint Joseph’s in the Round of 32 led some to believe that Oregon might be ripe for an upset in the Sweet 16 against Duke. But to the contrary, the Ducks proved their doubters wrong with an impressive 82-68 win over the Blue Devils that was never really in doubt.
The win brought the Ducks’ record over their last 19 games to 17-2 SU and 13-6 ATS.
In their last 16 games against teams with winning records, the Ducks are 12-4 ATS per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.
The Oklahoma Sooners looked like a major national title contender in the early stages of the season, but a 3-4 SU and 2-5 ATS slump in the month of February likely cost them a 1-seed and took away some of their hype. But since March, the Sooners are 6-1 SU including back-to-back impressive wins over two pesky teams in Virginia Commonwealth and Texas A&M.
Oklahoma’s 77-63 win over Texas A&M as a 2.5-point favorite broke an 0-7 ATS slump for the Sooners, but backers won’t have to worry about covering the spread in Saturday’s pick’em.
Saturday’s total is set at 151 points. The UNDER is 7-3 in Oregon’s last 10 games and 11-2 in Oklahoma’s last 13 games.
Oregon and Oklahoma were clearly deserving of their top two seeds in the West Region, and now the two teams will clash to see which will advance to the Final Four.
Oregon has the strength on the inside and the speed on the perimeter to compete with anyone in the nation, but Oklahoma will have the best player on the court in Buddy Hield, who is always capable of taking over a game. This should be a great one to watch.
