Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Villanova Wildcats are 19-2 straight up and 9-12 against the spread over their last 21 games. The Wildcats have won 10 of their last 11 games and will look to enter the NCAA Tournament on a high note with a victory in the Big East Tournament.

Villanova is a +115 favorite on the odds to win the Big East Tournament in New York at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. With a 16-2 SU record in conference play, the Wildcats locked up the top seed in the conference and will look to defend their title after winning the conference tournament in 2015.

On Thursday, Villanova will play the winner of Wednesday’s No. 8 Georgetown (+2000 to win the Big East Tournament) vs. No. 9 DePaul game.

The biggest threat to Villanova in the Big East Tournament this season is the No. 2 Xavier Musketeers, who are going off at +250 to win the tournament. Xavier finished the season with a 26-4 SU and 18-12 ATS record, including a 90-83 win over Villanova at home in February.

Villanova beat Xavier, 69-52, in the Big East Tournament championship game last season. The Musketeers are slated to take on the winner of Wednesday’s No. 7 Marquette (+3300) vs. No. 10 St. John’s game on Thursday.

Thursday's early game pits the No. 4 Providence Friars (+1400) against the No. 5 Butler Bulldogs (+500). Providence has enjoyed success against Butler in recent seasons with a 5-1 SU and ATS record in its last six games against the Bulldogs per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.

The winner of this game will advance to play the winner of Villanova’s game on Friday. The Friars pulled off a road upset over Villanova as a 12.5-point underdog back in January.

Also scheduled for Thursday is the matchup between the No. 3 Seton Hall Pirates (+900) and the No. 6 Creighton Bluejays (+1200).

Creighton is 3-1 SU and 2-1-1 ATS in its last four games against the Pirates.
