Cavaliers vs. Warriors 2016 odds: Golden State betting chalk Monday in Game 5 of NBA Finals
The Golden State Warriors are betting favorites for Monday as they host the Cleveland Cavaliers with a chance to win the NBA championship.

Golden State is a 5.5-point home favorite in Game 5 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Warriors were favored by six points in each of the first two games in this series.
After failing to find his groove in the first three games of the NBA Finals, Stephen Curry finally made his mark on the series with an excellent performance in Game 4. The point guard hit seven three-pointers and racked up 38 points, combining with Klay Thompson for 63 points between the dynamic duo.
Curry and Thompson will need to continue to carry the load on offense this Monday with Draymond Green out due to a suspension for picking up a flagrant foul in Game 4.
With its 108-97 win in Game 4, Golden State improved to 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in its last nine games against the Cavaliers, per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Game 3 was a perfect storm of good fortune for the Cavaliers, who were able to find a rhythm with an up-tempo attack on the same night that the Warriors struggled to find their own. But in Game 4, facing a red-hot shooting Warriors team, the Cavaliers were unable to get into a similar flow.
Kyrie Irving was particularly bad at the end of the game, trying to do far too much on his own and forcing too many shots in the fourth quarter. Cleveland is 0-3 SU and ATS in its last three games as a road underdog including back-to-back double-digit losses to Golden State in this series.
Monday night’s total is set at 205 points. The UNDER is 7-3-1 in the last 11 games between Cleveland and Golden State.
The Cavaliers face their first elimination game of the postseason on Monday and the league’s decision to suspend Green gives them a golden opportunity to steal a win on the road.
Having just come back from being down 3-1 in the series against Oklahoma City, the Warriors should be dialed in on Monday and focused on wrapping up this series as soon as possible to make sure that the same thing doesn’t happen to them.
