Euro 2016 Round of 16 odds: Host France sits among Euro 2016 betting favorites for Sunday
Sunday’s Euro 16 action includes France vs. Ireland, Germany vs. Slovakia and Hungary vs. Belgium in the Round of 16.

The French national team is a -217 favorite to win in regulation on Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Republic of Ireland is going off at +977 to win in regulation and +313 to force extra time.
With a championship-or-bust attitude coming into Euro 2016, France handled the pressure well in the group stage by securing the top spot in Group A with a 2-0-1 record. France beat Romania and Albania to take a commanding lead in the group and got the draw they needed against Switzerland to stay at the top.
The Republic of Ireland was on the cusp of elimination with an 0-1-1 record heading into their final group game against Italy on Wednesday, but a goal from Robbie Brady in the 85th minute gave the Irish an unlikely ticket into the knockout round. Even keeping this game close against France would be an accomplishment.
Another heavy underdog on Sunday is Slovakia, going off at +982 to win in regulation against Germany. Germany is a -233 favorite to win in regulation, while this game going to extra time would pay +339. Slovakia finished third in points in Group B, but advanced into the Round of 16 with a 1-1-1 record.
The Germans are usually known for their strong attack, but so far in this Euro 2016 tournament they’ve been winning games with their defending. Germany gave up no goals in the group stage while scoring three to secure a 2-0-1 record and the top seed in Group C.
The final game on Sunday’s Euro 2016 betting card is Hungary (+614) vs. Belgium (-152), with draw odds of +263.
Belgium started the tournament off with a disappointing 2-0 loss to Italy, but the loss may have actually benefited Belgium -- they seem to have a much more manageable path to the Euro 2016 final than Group E winners Italy do.
The Belgians are 6-0-2 in their last eight games against Hungary and sit at +550 on the odds to win Euro 2016.
