The Seattle Seahawks are 6-1 straight up and against the spread in their last seven preseason games as a favorite of five points or more. Going off as one of the biggest favorites on the board in Week 3, the Seahawks will try to win and cover the spread at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.
NFL preseason odds 2016, Week 3: Seahawks, Broncos are among big favorites on the board
The Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos will try to pay off as big favorites at the sportsbooks in this week’s NFL preseason betting action.

Seattle is a 5-point favorite on Thursday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Week 3 is considered to be a dress rehearsal for the regular season for many teams as starters get plenty of reps before giving way to younger players for a week off to rest in Week 4.
But given Tony Romo’s injury history, the Cowboys may opt to limit their starter’s game time to protect him from Seattle’s dangerous defensive attack. Romo played in only two series last week against the Dolphins.
The New England Patriots are a 3.5-point underdog on Friday visiting the Carolina Panthers. New England improved to 2-0 SU with its 23-22 win over the Chicago Bears last week, with Jimmy Garoppolo going 16-for-21 for 181 yards and a touchdown in the passing game.
Friday’s game against one of the best defenses in the NFL should be an excellent test for the Patriots’ backup. Carolina picked up a win and cover in last week’s 26-16 win over Tennessee.
Matching Seattle’s spot as the biggest favorite on the board in Week 3, the Denver Broncos are a 5-point favorite at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
If the first two games of the preseason are any indication, the Rams could be a threat to pick up a backdoor cover after erasing a 24-7 Dallas lead in Week 1 and a 20-14 Kansas City lead in Week 2.
Denver is 5-3 SU in its last eight games as a preseason favorite of five points or more but just 2-7 ATS over that stretch per the OddsShark NFL Database.
The Minnesota Vikings are a 4-point favorite at home against the San Diego Chargers in one of three preseason games on Sunday. Minnesota is 2-0 SU and ATS through the first two games of the preseason.
