Jason Day is the only player on the PGA Tour with three tournament wins under his belt in 2016, and he sits in the top spot in the FedEx Cup standings. The Australian star will try to repeat his win in this event last year with another win at The Barclays this weekend in New York.
FedEx Cup odds 2016: Day the betting favorite at The Barclays over Johnson, McIlroy, Stenson
After winning this FedEx Cup event in 2015, Jason Day is favored at the sportsbooks to repeat over a talented field at Bethpage Black this week.

Day is a +750 favorite to win The Barclays at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Day has been one of the tour’s most consistent contenders, finishing in the top 10 nine times in the 16 events he has played including a runner-up finish in the PGA Championship last month. Before winning this event last year, Day finished runner-up at The Barclays in 2014.
Perhaps the only player who has been more consistent on the tour in 2016 than Day is Dustin Johnson, who has finished in the top 10 in 12 of his 18 tournament appearances this season.
Johnson (+900) had a red-hot streak of six straight top-10 finishes, including five top-5 finishes and two wins came to a surprising end when he missed the cut in the PGA Championship, but this weekend should give the American a great opportunity to bounce back.
Johnson has four top-10 finishes in his last five appearances at The Barclays, including a win in 2011 and a third-place finish on this course in 2012.
Rory McIlroy (+1000) has been a boom-or-bust option over his last four starts, scoring top-5 finishes in the Memorial Tournament and the British Open while missing the cut at both the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. Jordan Spieth (+1400) has two wins this season, but hasn’t been in strong form lately with four of his last five finishes coming outside of the top 10. Both will try to get hot for the playoff push over these next four tournaments.
Other potential contenders on the golf betting lines to win The Barclays tournament include Henrik Stenson (+1200), Justin Rose (+2200), Brooks Koepka (+2800), Hideki Matsuyama (+2800), Phil Mickelson (+2800), Adam Scott (+3300), Brandt Snedeker (+3300), Bubba Watson (+3300), Matt Kuchar (+3300) and Patrick Reed (+3300).
Stenson has been hot over the last month with a win at the British Open, a seventh-place finish at the PGA Championship and a runner-up finish to Rose at the Olympics in Rio.
