Packers vs. Colts 2016 odds: Indianapolis, Green Bay set for pick’em Hall of Fame Game matchup
The Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers will kick off the NFL preseason in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton on Sunday.

This preseason opener is going off as a pick’em between Indianapolis and Green Bay at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Packers are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season at +850.
Green Bay had its streak of four straight NFC North titles snapped last season, but still made the playoffs with a 10-6 SU and 9-7 ATS record. The Packers have had each of their last two playoff runs end in overtime losses, and should have a huge chip on their shoulder coming into this season.
After suffering a slew of injuries in the receiving corps last season, sorting out the depth chart below the team’s established starters at wideout figures to be one of the focal points for coach Mike McCarthy this preseason.
The Indianapolis Colts have not fared well in recent preseasons, compiling a 1-8 SU and 2-7 ATS record in their last nine preseason games per the OddsShark NFL Database.
The Colts were heavy favorites to win the AFC South last year coming off three straight 11-5 SU seasons and a busy offseason that brought in a handful of talented veterans. But Indianapolis fell flat, with Andrew Luck struggling through an injury-riddled season and the team’s offseason additions proving largely to be busts in an 8-8 SU and ATS campaign.
Indianapolis has plenty of key position battles to address this preseason on the offensive line and on defense.
Sunday’s total is set at 36 points at the sportsbooks. Four of the last five Hall of Fame Game matchups have gone UNDER this total with 30 or fewer points in all four.
The long wait for NFL football is finally over as the league returns to action on Sunday. Starters will be used sparingly if at all in this preseason opener, but bettors will at least finally have some football into which to sink their teeth.
