The Detroit Lions are a 3-point underdog on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday night. Detroit has been a reliable preseason moneymaker since 2010, churning out an 18-5 SU and ATS record over its last 23 preseason games including a 4-1 SU and ATS record as a betting underdog. If recent trends are any indication, the Seattle Seahawks could be a nice value as a 3-point underdog at Kansas City on Saturday. Kansas City beat Seattle but failed to cover the spread in a 14-13 home win last preseason.
The first week of the preseason wraps up on Sunday with Houston going off as a 3-point underdog against the San Francisco 49ers. Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick will be battling for the starting job in San Francisco this preseason.
