NFL odds and lines 2016, Week 3: Texans favorites, Broncos underdogs on betting board

The Houston Texans are favorites at New England while the Denver Broncos are underdogs at Cincinnati to highlight the NFL betting slate.

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans are 1-5 straight up and 0-6 against the spread in their last six Thursday games. The Texans will try to turn their Thursday misfortunes around this week on the road against the New England Patriots.

Houston is a 2-point road favorite on Thursday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Both of these teams have started the season off strong with 2-0 SU and ATS records, but New England is down to its third-string quarterback for Thursday's game as Jimmy Garoppolo was injured in the Patriots' 31-24 win over Miami on Sunday.

The Patriots are 9-3 SU in their last 12 games against opponents with a winning record.

Offense is likely to rule the day on Sunday when the San Diego Chargers visit the Indianapolis Colts. Both teams currently rank in the top 10 in scoring as San Diego has scored 32.5 points per game and Indianapolis has scored 27.5 per game, and both also sit in the bottom 10 in the NFL in total defense.

San Diego is 6-1 SU and ATS in its last seven games against Indianapolis and 7-0 ATS in its last seven games as an underdog. The Colts are favored by 2.5 points at home.
