The Detroit Lions and the Miami Dolphins are the biggest underdogs at the sportsbooks for the opening weekend of the NFL playoffs.

Detroit is an 8-point road underdog at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Seattle has won four of the last five matchups between these two teams, but the Lions are 3-1 ATS in the last four games in this head-to-head series. The Lions ended the regular season on a three-game losing streak.
In the early game on Saturday, the Oakland Raiders are a 3.5-point underdog on the road against the Houston Texans. With Derek Carr and Tom Savage both injured, Oakland and Houston will be forced to start backup quarterbacks in what will likely be the ugliest game on the board this weekend.
Oakland is just 2-9 SU in its last 11 games on the road against teams with winning records.
Sunday’s action kicks off with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a 10-point favorite hosting the Miami Dolphins. Pittsburgh is 1-4 SU in its last five playoff games while Miami is 1-7 SU in its last eight postseason matchups.
But both of these teams enter the playoffs hot with Miami going 9-2 SU and 8-2-1 ATS over its last 11 games and Pittsburgh going 7-0 SU and 5-1-1 ATS over its last seven. The Dolphins are 3-0 ATS in their last three games against the Steelers per the OddsShark NFL Database.
Wild Card Weekend ends with the most compelling matchup of the week as the New York Giants visit the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay surged to a division title with a 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS run to end the regular season and has one of the hottest offenses in the NFL.
New York went 9-2 SU and 8-3 ATS over its final 11 games playing a similar shut-down defense to the ones that led to Super Bowl victories out of the Wild Card spot in both 2007 and 2011. The Packers are a 4.5-point favorite in this one.
Miami at Pittsburgh (-10)
Detroit at Seattle (-8)
New York at Green Bay (-4.5)
Oakland at Houston (-3.5)
