The New England Patriots are 10-2 straight up in their last 12 games against the New York Jets but are just 1-6-1 against the spread in the last eight games in this head-to-head series. The Patriots will try to pick up a win against their division rivals this Sunday.

New England is a 9.5-point road favorite in East Rutherford at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Jets were projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, but have surprised their critics with a 3-0 SU and ATS record over their last three games after an 0-2 SU and ATS start.

This game will be for first place in the AFC East. New England is 10-0 SU and 9-1 ATS over its last 10 road games.

Two other teams that have exceeded preseason expectations to this point will clash when the Los Angeles Rams visit the Jacksonville Jaguars (-2.5). Both teams are off to 3-2 SU starts, with Jacksonville sitting atop the AFC South and Los Angeles tied with Seattle for the top spot in the NFC West.

The road team is 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS in the last four meetings between the Rams and Jaguars.

Ben Roethlisberger’s confidence seemed shaken in a post-game press conference after his five-interception performance against Jacksonville last week. The veteran quarterback will get a much tougher test this week when his Steelers visit the Kansas City Chiefs (-4), who are off to a perfect 5-0 SU and ATS start to the 2017 season.

Pittsburgh is 5-1 SU in its last six games against the Chiefs, including a win in the postseason last year, per the OddsShark NFL Database.

On Thursday night, two 4-1 SU teams collide as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Carolina Panthers (-3). Carolina holds the ATS edge this season at 3-1-1 ATS to Philadelphia’s 3-2 ATS. The Eagles are 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last six road games against teams with winning records.

Week 6 wraps up with the New York Giants at Denver (-11.5) on Sunday Night Football and Indianapolis at Tennessee on Monday Night Football. The Giants are still looking for their first win of the season at 0-5 SU and 2-3 ATS.
