Green Bay Packers
Determined to avoid the slow start that plagued the team last year, this year’s Packers team has been focused since the start of the season. With another fourth-quarter drive led by Aaron Rodgers, the Packers secured a 35-31 road win over the Dallas Cowboys and improved to 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS on the year in the process.
Rodgers leads all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns this season with 13 and ranks fourth in passing yards with 1,367 through his first five games of 2017.
The Packers have dominated the entire NFC North division over the last decade as is indicated by their individual records against each team. Green Bay is 11-3-1 SU and 9-6 ATS in its last 15 games against Minnesota per the OddsShark NFL Database.
Minnesota Vikings
Sam Bradford tried to return from injury last week against the Chicago Bears, but his injured knee rendered him ineffective and unable to move from the pocket. Case Keenum was strong in relief, leading Minnesota to three scoring drives en route to a 20-17 road win over the Chicago Bears.
Keenum could be under center again Sunday for the Vikings, who are 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS so far this season. Minnesota is 8-2 SU and ATS in its last 10 home games when coming off of a loss in its most recent game at home.
Sunday’s total is set at 46.5 points at online sports betting sites. The OVER is 11-1 in Green Bay’s last 12 games.
Keenum has performed well in back-up duties for the Vikings, but he shouldn’t be expected to win a shootout against one of the best quarterbacks in the game this week. If Minnesota hopes to be successful on Sunday, it will need to have a strong day on defense against this potent Packers offense.
