Indianapolis Colts
With their superstar quarterback Andrew Luck sidelined indefinitely with an injury and a 46-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in their season opener, the Colts appeared to be in for a long season.
There still isn’t much hope for a playoff push this season, but the team has compiled a respectable 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS record since that opening Sunday blowout. Jacoby Brissett hasn’t been sensational in the starting role under center, but he has at least been capable unlike Scott Tolzien was in his one start.
The Colts beat San Francisco in overtime last Sunday. Indianapolis is 0-5 SU and ATS in its last five games coming off a win.
Tennessee Titans
Tennessee’s season got off to a promising 2-1 SU and ATS start before hitting a massive road block in Houston in Week 4. The Titans lost to the Texans 57-14, and lost quarterback Marcus Mariota to a hamstring injury in the process.
Mariota’s absence was felt in a 16-10 loss the following week in a very winnable game at Miami. The quarterback is hoping to return to action this Monday night, though even if he does his mobility might be hampered by his injury. Tennessee is just 9-23 SU in its last 32 home games.
Monday night’s total is set at 49 points. The OVER is 6-1 in Tennessee’s last seven games played in October per the OddsShark NFL Database.
When scheduled this preseason, this division rivalry game figured to be an exciting quarterback duel between Luck and Mariota. Instead, it now looks more like a war of attrition between two teams just trying to get healthy before their seasons slip away.
