The Los Angeles Dodgers held off the Cleveland Indians for the best record in baseball and home-field advantage throughout the postseason with a 104-58 record. The two teams enter the 2017 postseason as the top favorites to win the World Series.

Los Angeles is at +300 and Cleveland is at +350 on the odds to win the World Series at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. After suffering through an abysmal 1-16 straight-up run in the second half, the Dodgers picked up their play and ended the regular season on a 6-1 SU run.

The Dodgers await the winner of Wednesday’s NL Wild Card matchup of Colorado (+155) at Arizona (-175).

World Series Betting Lines

Los Angeles Dodgers +300

Cleveland Indians +350

Houston Astros +500

Washington Nationals +700

Boston Red Sox +800

Chicago Cubs +800

New York Yankees +1400

Arizona Diamondbacks +1400

Minnesota Twins +2800

Colorado Rockies +2800

Cleveland skyrocketed up the World Series betting board with its remarkable 33-4 SU run to end the regular season. Everything is clicking for the Indians right now, who are a +160 favorite on the odds to win the American League Pennant. The Indians will kick off their postseason on Thursday against the winner of Tuesday’s AL Wild Card game of Minnesota (+200) at New York Yankees (-235).

In what figures to be a competitive series, the defending champion Chicago Cubs are +115 series underdogs in the NLDS against the Washington Nationals. Washington finished the regular season with a record of 97-65, and improved play from the bullpen in the second half and the return of Bryce Harper make the Nationals a legitimate threat to win the World Series at +700.

Of course, the path to a title is a rocky one this season, starting with this Cubs team that is going off at +800 to win the World Series and has plenty of playoff experience over the last two seasons.

In the ALDS, the Houston Astros are a -165 favorite in their series against the Boston Red Sox (+135). Houston’s 101-61 SU season wound up getting overshadowed by Cleveland’s brilliant play down the stretch, but the Astros finished the year on a 14-3 SU run of their own and are the third favorite on the board to win the World Series at +500.

Boston will try to play spoiler in the divisional round with Chris Sale set to take the mound in this series opener on Thursday.
