Vikings at Bears OddsShark Matchup Report

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have been extremely inconsistent on offense through the first four weeks of the season, scoring over 28 points and winning by double digits in both of their wins and being held to under 10 points in each of their losses.

Case Keenum was fantastic with 369 passing yards and three passing touchdowns against Tampa Bay two weeks ago, but he managed only 219 passing yards with no touchdowns last week against Detroit. Minnesota hopes to get starter Sam Bradford back from his knee injury this week.

Whoever is under center for the Vikings on Monday night will be battling a recent history of disappointment in primetime. Minnesota is 2-8 SU and ATS in its last 10 appearances on Monday Night Football.

Chicago Bears

After passing for just four touchdowns with five interceptions and three fumbles through Chicago’s first four games, the Bears have finally seen enough out of Mike Glennon. Head coach John Fox will give rookie Mitch Trubisky a shot under center in his first career start on Monday night.

Trubisky will face a Minnesota defense that ranks eighth in the league in scoring defense, allowing 19 points per game. The Bears are 12-4 SU in their last 16 Monday Night Football games.

Monday night’s total is set at 40 points. The UNDER is 8-3 in the last 11 games between these two rivals, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

The home team is 9-1 SU and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 games between Chicago and Minnesota, with each of the last three games in this series being decided by 10 points or more. Even if Trubisky doesn’t excel right out of the gate, he should be able to perform at a level at or above what Glennon has with the Bears this season.
