New England Patriots
Through the first four games of the season, New England went 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS and had the worst defense in the NFL, surrendering 32 points per game.
But as always seems to be the case when fans and the media start to think that the Patriots are in trouble, Bill Belichick has made adjustments and put the defense back on track. The team has allowed only 12.8 points per game over its current four-game win streak.
The Patriots have an impressive record in just about every month of the season and November is no exception. New England is 16-4 SU and 12-7-1 ATS in its last 20 games played in the month of November per the OddsShark NFL Database.
Denver Broncos
Denver’s decision not to actively pursue upgrades on offense this offseason has clearly come back to bite the Broncos. The team is 1-5 SU and ATS over its last six games with only 14 points per game.
Last Sunday’s 51-23 loss in Philadelphia was an embarrassment in every facet of the game and was Denver’s fourth straight loss by double-digits. The Broncos are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games against New England.
Sunday night’s total is set at 45.5 points. The UNDER is 5-1 in New England’s last six games on the road against teams with losing records.
Historically, the Broncos have dominated this head-to-head series in Denver with an 18-4 SU record in their last 22 home games against the Patriots. Unfortunately for this year’s Broncos team, New England is 11-0 SU and 9-2 ATS over its last 11 road games and entering this game off of a bye week.
Denver has been reeling over the last month and facing a well-rested Patriots team doesn’t seem like a great recipe to snap out of the slump.
