Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs snapped out of an 0-2 SU and ATS slump last week with a 29-19 win over the Denver Broncos. At 33 years old, Alex Smith is in the midst of a career year and on pace to exceed his previous career highs in every major passing category.

Through the first half of the season, Smith ranks second in the NFL in passing yards with 2,181 and he has 16 touchdowns with no interceptions. The offense as a whole ranks third in the league in yards per game with 377.9 and third in scoring with 29.5 points per game.

If any Chiefs team is going to snap Kansas City’s road losing streak to Dallas, it should be this one. Kansas City is 9-1 SU and ATS in its last 10 road games per the OddsShark NFL Database.

Dallas Cowboys

The seemingly never-ending legal battle over the status of Ezekiel Elliott’s six-game suspension took a turn for the worse this week for Dallas as Elliott’s suspension was reinstated. Elliott rushed for 297 yards and four touchdowns over Dallas’ current 2-0 SU and ATS run. Pressure will fall on Dak Prescott to keep the offense afloat in Elliott’s absence. The Cowboys are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS in their last four games played in November.

Sunday’s total is set at 51 points. The UNDER is 4-1 in Kansas City’s last five late afternoon games.

With Elliott in the backfield, the Cowboys would have likely torched a Kansas City rushing defense that ranks 28th in the NFL. Without him, it will be up to Prescott to keep up with a Kansas City offense that has failed to reach 24 points only once this season.
