Washington at Cowboys OddsShark Matchup Report

While the 20-10 final score made the game look a lot less competitive than it actually was, Washington got to celebrate a Thanksgiving Day win and cover against the New York Giants. With the win, Washington kept its slim playoff hopes alive, moving to 5-6 SU and ATS on the season.

Kirk Cousins had his second straight multi-touchdown game and his sixth of the season in the win to bring his season totals to 3,038 yards passing and 19 passing touchdowns.

Washington has enjoyed some success as a road underdog with a 7-5 SU and 9-3 ATS record in its last 12 games in those situations, per the OddsShark NFL Database.

Since Ezekiel Elliott was lost for six games due to a suspension, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys have been nothing short of abysmal. Prescott has no touchdown passes over the three games and has thrown five interceptions over the last two.

Dallas’ losses have come by scores of 27-7 at Atlanta, 37-9 against Philadelphia, and 28-6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Cowboys had better have made some adjustments this week coming off their terrible effort on Thanksgiving.

Thursday night’s total is set at 44 points. The OVER is 4-0 in the last four games between these two teams.

Dallas is just 1-8 ATS in its last nine games played on Thursday, including last week’s loss to the Chargers. With both of these teams sitting at 5-6 SU and ATS and the NFC looking quite strong this season, it may take a perfect 5-0 SU record down the stretch for Washington or Dallas to earn a wild card berth at 10-6.

The loser of this game will likely have to wait until next season for another shot.
