Dallas Cowboys

After suffering through a disastrous 0-3 SU and ATS run in November in which the team was outscored 92-22, the Cowboys have righted the ship over their last two games with blowout wins over Washington and the New York Giants.

Dak Prescott went from an 0-to-5 touchdown to interception ratio in his previous two games to a 5-to-0 ratio over his last two. The good times should continue to roll against an Oakland pass defense that ranks No. 25 in the league, allowing 241.2 passing yards per game.

In their last 10 games as a road favorite, the Cowboys are 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS, per the OddsShark NFL Database. This includes a current run of 4-0 SU and ATS.

Oakland Raiders

Before last Sunday’s game, the 6-6 SU Oakland Raiders were still in control of their own destiny in the wide-open AFC West. That control is no longer in place after a dismal 26-15 loss to the Chiefs that looks closer on paper that it actually was, with the team’s 15 points coming in garbage time.

Ranking No. 21 in scoring this season with 20.3 points per game and No. 20 in scoring defense allowing 23.4 points per game, the Raiders are deserving of their mediocre 6-7 SU and 4-8-1 ATS record.

Sunday night’s total is set at 46 points. The UNDER is 8-1 in Dallas’ last nine games played in December.

Both of these teams have taken a step backwards after breakout campaigns in 2016. The Cowboys have more reason for optimism down the stretch, however, with this winnable game on Sunday and the return of Ezekiel Elliott next week. Oakland will need to find its form in a hurry to avoid another loss on Sunday.
