Dallas Cowboys
Before Elliott’s suspension, the Cowboys were riding a 3-0 SU and ATS run in which they outscored their opponents 101 to 46. This was followed by an 0-3 SU and ATS run in which the Cowboys were outscored 92 to 22 in Elliott’s first three games out of the lineup.
Dallas has since figured things out with a 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS run over its last three games, but the run might prove to be too little too late for a playoff spot unless the Cowboys win out and get some help from around the league.
The Cowboys are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 games as a home favorite of five points or more, despite a 17-3 SU record over that stretch per the OddsShark NFL Database.
Seattle Seahawks
In one of the most shocking Seahawks games of the last decade, Seattle was absolutely decimated at home in a 42-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week. Losing to a quality team like the Rams isn’t a surprise but doing so in such ugly fashion at home in a must-win game certainly is. The injuries on Seattle’s defense are clearly catching up to the Seahawks as the team has allowed 72 points over its last two games.
The Seahawks are 9-0 SU in their last nine games coming off a loss as a betting favorite.
Sunday’s total is set at 47 points. The UNDER is 6-2 in the last eight games between Seattle and Dallas.
The loser of this game will be eliminated from playoff contention. The winner will still need help from other teams outside of the playoff picture, but in a league where anything can happen, staying alive into Week 17 still has plenty of value.
