The Kansas Jayhawks wrapped up the regular season on an 8-0 straight-up run, including a 4-1 against-the-spread record over their last five games. The Jayhawks will be going for the 11th Big 12 tournament win in the school’s history this week at the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Big 12 tournament odds 2017: Kansas has edge on WVU on conference tournament betting lines
The Kansas Jayhawks hope to defend their Big 12 title with another tournament win this year as the betting favorite at the sportsbooks over the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Kansas is a +145 favorite on the odds to win the Big 12 tournament at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. With a 28-3 SU record on the season, the Jayhawks enter conference championship week ranked No. 1 in the nation in both the AP Top 25 Poll and the Coaches Poll.
The Jayhawks are just 8-16-1 ATS as a favorite this season, but all that will matter to their tournament future backers is the outright wins. The winner of Wednesday’s TCU (+4000 to win the Big 12 tournament) vs. Oklahoma (+8000) game will advance to face Kansas on Thursday.
The biggest threat to the Jayhawks on the board this season is the West Virginia Mountaineers. West Virginia (+190) played Kansas well this season, with a close 84-80 loss in Kansas and an 85-69 blowout win at home over the Jayhawks in January. The Mountaineers finished the regular season with a 24-7 SU and 15-12-1 ATS record, and are looking for their first Big 12 Title in school history after falling short in the final against Kansas last year.
The conference’s No. 2 seed awaits the winner of Wednesday’s Texas Tech (+3300) vs. Texas (+8000) matchup.
The Baylor Bears could garner some attention from bettors looking to avoid the chalk at +475 to win the tournament. Baylor lost to Kansas by just five points on the road and two points at home, and picked up a 71-62 win over West Virginia at the end of February. The Bears start their postseason on Thursday night against the Kansas State Wildcats (+2800).
In the afternoon game on Thursday, the Iowa State Cyclones (+700) will square off against the Oklahoma State Cowboys (+1000). Iowa State isn’t a stranger to Big 12 tournament success, upsetting Kansas in both 2014 and 2015 en route to back-to-back conference titles.
The Cyclones are the conference’s No. 4 seed with a 20-10 SU and 15-12 ATS record.
