The San Antonio Spurs are 10-0 straight up and 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 postseason games against the Memphis Grizzlies. After sweeping the Grizzlies in both 2013 and 2016, the Spurs will try to move one step closer to another sweep with a road win in Game 3.

San Antonio is a 4.5-point road favorite in Memphis at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last four postseason road games in Memphis, the Spurs are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS.

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs ended the regular season on a whimper with three straight losses, but that hasn’t had any effect on their 2017 postseason run. San Antonio did get off to a sluggish start in Game 1, trailing 24-11 at one point in the first quarter, but the Spurs eventually ran away with a 111-82 win and followed that up with a 96-82 win in Game 2.

Kawhi Leonard has been exceptional through the first two games of this series, scoring 32 points in Game 1 and 37 points in Game 2.

Over its last 23 games as a postseason road favorite, San Antonio is 18-5 SU and 13-10 ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.

Betting Line / Total: San Antonio -3.5 / 185 Points

Trend: The Spurs are 3-1 ATS in their last four playoff games in Memphis.

Trend: The UNDER is 7-3 in the last 10 games between the Spurs and Grizzlies.

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis has been making headlines this week away from the court as head coach David Fizdale’s press conference complaining about the referees after Game 2 went viral and earned the coach a $30,000 fine.

Fizdale’s rant was entertaining and may have had some merit, but it doesn’t change the fact that his Grizzlies are 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS over their last eight games and have been completely blown away by the Spurs thus far. Extra attention on the refs and home court may earn Memphis a few more trips to the line in this one, but the Grizzlies will need more than that to bridge the gap.

Thursday’s total is set at 184.5 points. The UNDER is 7-3 in the last 10 games between San Antonio and Memphis.

San Antonio is considered by many to be the second-best team in the NBA behind Golden State, so seeing the Spurs roll in the first round shouldn’t come as a surprise. But winning on the road is a different story than winning at home, and Memphis will try to show that it still has a pulse with an upset win on Thursday.
