Warriors vs. Trail Blazers, NBA playoffs 2017 odds: Golden State road favorite for Game 3

The Golden State Warriors will try to stay hot on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers as the Western Conference teams meet in Game 3 of their series on Saturday night.

The Golden State Warriors are 8-0 straight up and 4-4 against the spread in their last eight games against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors hope to continue their dominance over the Trail Blazers with another win in Game 3.

Golden State is a 6-point road favorite in Portland at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The last time these two teams met in Portland, the Warriors won 113-111 but failed to cover the spread as 6-point favorites.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors took extreme caution with Kevin Durant’s calf injury in Game 2, electing to rest their star forward instead of playing him. Golden State had no trouble at all taking care of business in his absence, crushing the Trail Blazers 110-81 while getting balanced scoring up and down the lineup.

Durant is considered questionable for Game 3, and Golden State has the luxury of allowing him to rest until he is 100 percent ready with this series firmly in control.

Since going 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS in their previous six road games, the Warriors are a perfect 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five games away from home, per the OddsShark NBA database.

Betting Line / Total: Golden State -6 / 217 Points

Trend: The Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five games on the road.

Trend: The OVER is 13-4 in the last 17 games between the Warriors and Blazers.

Portland Trail Blazers

After combining for 75 points in Game 1, C.J. McCollum and Damian Lillard were ice cold in Game 2, and managed just 23 points between them. Portland will only go as far as their two star guards take them, and so far we’ve seen both the good and the bad from this duo through the first two games of the series.

The Trail Blazers are 5-0 ATS in their last five games as home underdogs and are 3-1 SU in their last four.

Saturday’s total is set at 217 points. The OVER is 13-4 in the last 17 games between the Warriors and the Trail Blazers.

Portland is 2-12 SU and 6-8 ATS in its last 14 games against Golden State, but only five of those games were at home. The Trail Blazers are 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five home games against the Warriors.

With their backs against the wall in Game 3 and Durant likely to either be sitting out or limited in action, this may be the Trail Blazers’ best chance in the series to prevent a sweep with an upset.
