The Cleveland Browns finished the 2016 season with a 1-15 straight up and 3-12-1 against the spread record. The only positives to this abysmal season for the Browns were picking up one win to avoid a winless season and locking up the No. 1 overall pick.
NFL draft prop bets 2017: Myles Garrett, Mitch Trubisky featured on odds for Thursday
Myles Garrett and Mitch Trubisky are among the top prospects available in the 2017 NFL Draft, and that duo features prominently on the betting props for the event.

Myles Garrett is the -1600 betting favorite to be the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Despite being hampered by an injury last season, Garrett still finished with 33 tackles, 8.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in his junior year at Texas A&M.
Garrett’s excellent speed, strength and athleticism have the defensive end projected as a can’t-miss prospect, which is something that a team like the Browns could certainly use.
Bettors looking to avoid the steep price on Garrett may find value in quarterback Mitch Trubisky to be taken first overall going off at +700. Adam Schefter has been reporting in recent days that sources say the Browns are leaning towards drafting the North Carolina star quarterback with their top pick. It is hard to say whether these reports are accurate or simply an effort by Cleveland to drive up the value of this pick in a potential trade.
Either way, the value of quarterbacks in today’s NFL make Trubisky an intriguing option in this spot.
Trubisky is a -333 favorite on the odds to be the first quarterback drafted. But should the Browns pass on him, will other teams opt for him over some of the other quarterbacks on the board? The current odds on the first quarterback to be taken include Clemson standout Deshaun Watson at +300, Patrick Mahomes at +1000 and DeShone Kizer at +2500.
The success of Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas this season may spark the return of teams reaching in the first round for a potential franchise running back. Leonard Fournette is a commanding favorite to be the first running back taken at -625 over Christian McCaffrey (+400), Dalvin Cook (+800) and Joe Mixon (+5000).
McCaffrey, the Stanford product with both excellent rushing and receiving skills, is going off at -135 to be drafted OVER pick 8.5 and +105 to be drafted UNDER pick 8.5.
And Clemson’s Mike Williams is favored at -200 to be the first wide receiver drafted over Corey Davis (+225) and John Ross (+500) to round out the NFL draft props for Thursday.
