The Nashville Predators are 8-2 straight up in their last 10 games at home, including a perfect 3-0 home record this postseason. The Predators can take a commanding 3-1 series lead with a win over the St. Louis Blues Tuesday night at home.

Nashville is a -165 betting favorite to win Game 4 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Blues will try to even up the series at 2-2 as +145 underdogs.

Nashville Predators

The Predators were the most dominant team in the first round of the NHL postseason, sweeping the heavily favored Chicago Blackhawks while outscoring them 13-3.

The second round hasn’t been quite as easy for Nashville, but the team has controlled the tempo throughout most of the series and holds a 2-1 lead after splitting on the road and taking care of business with a 3-1 win in Game 3. The Predators outshot St. Louis, 34-23, in the win.

With their win in Game 3, the Predators moved to 4-0 SU and against the spread in their last four home games against the Blues per the OddsShark NHL Database.

Betting Line / Total: Nashville -165 / 5 Goals

Trend: The Predators are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games against the Blues.

Trend: The UNDER is 10-4-4 in the last 18 games between the Predators and Blues.

St. Louis Blues

St. Louis has been outshot in all but one game this postseason, and has been dominated in the possession stats by both Minnesota and Nashville. Jake Allen has been good in this series, but he hasn’t been the unbeatable force that he was in the first round.

The Blues don’t need to panic with a 20-5-2 record in their last 27 games, but they’ll need to find a way to get more consistent in the offensive zone as this series goes on to take some of the pressure off their goaltender.

Tuesday night’s total is set at five goals at online betting sites. The UNDER is 10-4-4 in the last 18 games between these two division rivals.

Both teams rode red hot goalies into the second round, but it is Nashville that has been far stronger on offense so far this postseason. The Predators ramped up their game at home in Game 3 and will likely do the same in Game 4, though it will be the Blues that are playing with more desperation in this one.
