Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James was reportedly playing through an illness in Game 3, which explains his surprisingly low output of just 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting in that loss. James looked more like himself in Game 4, hitting over half of his 27 shots en route to a 34-point night, complementing Kyrie Irving’s 42 points in Cleveland’s 112-99 win at home.
With James back at full strength and the Celtics severely depleted with Isaiah Thomas out, the Cavaliers are deserving of their role as massive favorites heading into Game 5.
This game will mark the sixth time this season that Cleveland is a double-digit road favorite. The Cavaliers are 4-1 SU and 0-5 ATS in their previous five games as one, per the OddsShark NBA Database.

Boston Celtics
Boston came out with another strong effort in Game 4, charging out of the gate with a 29-19 lead at the end of the first quarter which held up into a 57-47 lead at the end of the first half. But a 40-23 third quarter tilted in Cleveland’s favor sealed Boston’s fate, dropping the Celtics into a 3-1 hole in this series despite the team improving to 11-4 ATS over its last 15 games.
The Celtics are just 1-5 SU and ATS in their last six games as a home underdog, including an 0-2 SU and ATS record so far in this series.
Thursday’s total is set at 215.5 points. The UNDER is 13-5-1 in Boston’s last 19 games as a home dog.
The Celtics’ three losses in this series have all been by double-digits and have come by an average margin of 23.3 points per game. To extend this series with another outright win, Boston may need a small miracle.
