The Golden State Warriors are 26-1 straight up and 18-7-2 against the spread over their last 27 games. The Warriors will try to take the first step in avenging their loss in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers last year with a win in Game 1 on Thursday night.
Cavaliers vs. Warriors odds, 2017 NBA Finals: Golden State betting favorite for Game 1
The Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers to tip off the NBA Finals on Thursday night, having gone 12-0 SU and 8-4 ATS so far in the playoffs.

Golden State is a seven-point home favorite in Oakland at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. As a six-point favorite in Game 1 of last year’s NBA Finals, the Warriors blew out the Cavaliers 104-89.
Golden State Warriors
All was going well for Golden State after blowout wins in the first two games of the finals against Cleveland last spring, and a 108-97 road win in Game 4 gave the Warriors three chances to put away the Cavaliers. The Warriors failed as betting favorites in all three of those games including losses at home in both Game 5 and Game 7.
Golden State improved this offseason with the addition of Kevin Durant, who figures to tip the scale back in the Warriors’ favor.
After a record-setting regular season last year, Golden State has made history in the postseason this year by becoming the first team to start the playoffs with three straight sweeps. The Warriors are 12-0 SU and 8-4 ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Betting Line / Total: Golden State -7 / 225.5 Points
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers fell just short of matching Golden State’s 12-0 SU run through the playoffs, instead going 12-1 SU and 7-4-2 ATS in the team’s dominant run through the East. LeBron James has been nothing short of sensational this postseason, putting up 32.5 points per game while also averaging eight rebounds and seven assists per game.
James led the NBA Finals in all five statistical categories last season, becoming the first player in league history to do so.
Thursday night’s total is set at 225.5 points. The UNDER is 4-2-2 in the last eight games between these two teams.
This is the matchup that everyone has been waiting for all season. Both teams are healthy and in top form, making this series that much more exciting. Golden State has the edge on paper, but James won’t make this an easy series for the Warriors.
