Tom Brady already holds the record for the most Super Bowl MVP awards in NFL history with four under his belt. The 40-year-old will look to build on his legacy even further with another Super Bowl MVP award at Super Bowl LII this Sunday.

Brady is a -110 favorite to win the award at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Super Bowl MVP award has been awarded to quarterbacks at a disproportional rate with signal callers racking up 28 compared to running backs and wide receivers each landing six. Tom Brady has won the award in all but one of his Super Bowl victories, being edged out by wide receiver Deion Branch in Super Bowl XXXIX.

James White made a strong case for himself in last year’s Super Bowl win over the Falcons, catching 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 29 yards and two touchdowns as well. White (+4000 to win Super Bowl MVP) and Dion Lewis (+1800) both figure to see plenty of targets out of the backfield as Brady’s dump-off options when he is pressured.

Other potential targets in the passing game for New England include Rob Gronkowski (+900), Danny Amendola (+1800), and Brandin Cooks (+2200).

Given how frequently quarterbacks are anointed MVP when their respective teams win the Super Bowl, bettors who will be backing the Eagles at Super Bowl LII could find some nice value in quarterback Nick Foles at +325. Foles certainly had an MVP-caliber game in the NFC Championship against the Minnesota Vikings, completing 78.8 percent of his passes for 352 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions against the league’s top defense.

Foles is a clear favorite over his teammates, including Jay Ajayi (+1800), Zach Ertz (+2000) and Alshon Jeffery (+2200). Fletcher Cox’s ability to pressure Tom Brady could be the key to an upset by the underdog Eagles and a couple of sacks along the way could get Cox into the MVP conversation at 33/1.

The last defensive lineman to win the award was Chicago’s Richard Dent back in 1986 at Super Bowl XX, but two of the last four awards have gone to defensive players in Von Miller at Super Bowl 50 and Malcolm Smith at Super Bowl XLVIII.
