Nashville Predators

With a two-point lead and two games in hand on Winnipeg and a four-point lead and four games in hand on St. Louis, the Predators are comfortably in the driver’s seat in the Central Division with a 33-12-9 record.

Special teams has been a big part of Nashville’s success this season as the Predators rank fifth in the NHL in power play scoring at 23.1% and seventh in penalty killing at 82.7%. Pekka Rinne is red-hot in goal for Nashville right now with a 9-0-1 record in his last 10 starts.

The Predators have been a strong bet at home this season, boasting an 18-5-3 home record, including a current run of 7-2 on the moneyline per the OddsShark NHL Database.

St. Louis Blues

Producing offense has been an issue for this Blues team all season long. St. Louis ranks fourth in the NHL in goals against, allowing only 2.5 goals per game, flanked by an excellent defense and strong goaltending tandem in Jake Allen and Carter Hutton. But offensively, the Blues rank 19th in scoring with 2.8 goals per game and 28th in power play scoring at an abysmal 15.9%.

The Blues are 2-1 in their last three games as an underdog after going 0-8 in their previous eight.

Tuesday’s total is set at 5.5 goals. The UNDER is 0-6-1 in the last seven games between the Blues and Predators.

There have been no more than four goals scored in each of the last six games in this head-to-head series. This should be another physical and bruising game between two division rivals that are both looking to pick up important points as the playoffs steadily approach.
