Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves took advantage of the chance to face a short-handed Golden State Warriors team on Sunday, cashing in as 3.5-point underdogs in a 109-103 win over the defending champs. The Warriors were without Steph Curry and Andre Iguodala in the game, giving Minnesota the chance to snap a losing streak of eight straight games as an underdog.

With a 5-7 SU and 3-9 ATS record over their last 12 games, the Timberwolves hope to carry the momentum of this win into Tuesday’s game.

Visits to Washington have not been kind to Minnesota as the Timberwolves are just 2-10 SU and ATS in their last 12 road games against the Wizards per the OddsShark NBA Database.

Washington Wizards

John Wall has taken another step forward in his recovery and could be practicing with the team by the end of this week. Wall’s return could provide the Wizards with a nice boost; since going 10-3 SU and ATS in their previous 13 games without him, the team has gone just 2-4 SU and 2-3-1 ATS over its last six games. Washington is 3-1 SU and 2-1-1 ATS in its last four games as a favorite.

Tuesday night’s total is set at 216 points. The OVER is 10-3 in Minnesota’s last 13 games and 4-1 in the last five games between these two teams.

Heading into Tuesday’s action, only 1.5 games separate the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference from the No. 10 seed. This is setting up to be a frantic race for the final five playoff spots in the West, and Minnesota could find itself on the outside looking in if it doesn’t come up with a solution to its struggles on the road.
