Betting Line / Total: Michigan -5.5 / 129.5 Points
Loyola-Chicago Ramblers
The Ramblers scratched and clawed their way into the Elite Eight, beating Miami by two points before winning by only one point in two nail-biters against Tennessee and Nevada. But going up against the No. 9 Kansas State Wildcats as 1.5-point underdogs, Loyola-Chicago dominated the game from start to finish in a 78-62 rout.
Loyola-Chicago is the fourth No. 11 seed to advance into the Final Four and is hoping to be the first ever to advance to the championship game.
While the nation may see the Ramblers as a Cinderella team, this group has been making money for its backers all season. Loyola-Chicago is 21-1 SU and 18-4 ATS over its last 22 games including current runs of 14-0 SU and 6-0 ATS per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.
Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines are riding a pretty impressive hot streak of their own going 13-0 SU and 10-3 ATS over their last 13 games. Michigan has proven its versatility throughout this NCAA tournament, showing off its potential on offense in a 99-72 win over Texas A&M in the Sweet 16 and following that up with a stout defensive performance in a 58-54 win over Florida State in the Elite Eight.
In two matchups against 11-seeds in March Madness since 2014, the Wolverines are 2-0 SU and 1-0-1 ATS.
Saturday’s total is set at 129.5 points. The OVER is 5-2 in Michigan’s last seven games played on a Saturday.
Loyola-Chicago is 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS in its last seven games against Big Ten opponents. To make history as the lowest seed to ever advance into the NCAA tournament championship game, the Ramblers will need to break that streak and pull off their biggest upset of the postseason.
