Houston Rockets
Can this year’s Rockets team really give the Golden State Warriors a run for their money? The numbers seem to suggest that they can. Houston enters Tuesday’s action one half-game ahead of the Warriors for the NBA’s best record at 49-13 SU and 32-29-1 ATS
The Rockets have a slightly better point differential at +8.8 per game on the season compared to Golden State’s +8.5, and Houston won the season series against the Warriors two to one with wins both at home and on the road. This team is on a huge roll and hasn’t shown signs of slowing down.
One of the things that makes Houston so dangerous is its ability to win on the road. The Rockets are 24-7 SU and 20-11 ATS on the road this season including a current run of 5-0 SU and ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City did a good job of navigating through a stretch of six road games over seven games this last couple weeks going 5-2 SU. The Thunder haven’t been doing much to help their backers of late however with a 1-5 ATS record over their last six games and a 4-11 ATS record over their last 15. Since going 5-1 SU and ATS in their previous six games as a betting underdog, the Thunder are 0-3 SU and ATS in their last three such spots.
Tuesday’s total is set at 223 points. The UNDER is 12-3 in Oklahoma City’s last 15 games as an underdog.
The Thunder have two wins over Golden State under their belt this season, so this doesn’t figure to be an easy out for the Rockets. But with the way Houston has been playing of late, it will be hard to pass on the team as such a small favorite.
