The Capitals are holding on to a slim lead in the Metropolitan Division, entering Tuesday’s action with a one-point lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins with two games in hand.
Washington has seemingly steadied the ship in winning three of its last four games since losing five of its previous seven. With that said, all three of those wins came at home; the Capitals have lost three of their last four road games and are looking ahead at a tough trip that includes Anaheim, Los Angeles and San Jose.
